Terms of Use

These terms apply to your use of Congrava, church-management software, and of this website. By signing in to Congrava or using it for a church, you agree to them. If you use Congrava for a church, you confirm you are authorized to do so for that church.

1. The service

Congrava lets a church (an “organization”) manage its members, services, attendance and finances, and lets its administrators connect AI assistants to that information. Features may change over time, and some are offered in early access.

2. Accounts and administrators

Administrators sign in with their own account and keep their sign-in details private. What an administrator can see and do is set by the church, and everything done under an account is recorded under that administrator.

The church is responsible for who it gives access to and for removing access when someone should no longer have it.

3. Your church’s information

The information a church enters belongs to that church. The church is responsible for having the right to record it, for keeping it accurate, and for using it lawfully and respectfully, including information about children and about giving. How we handle it is described in the Privacy Policy.

4. Connecting AI assistants

An administrator may connect an AI assistant, such as ChatGPT or Claude, to their church. The connection acts as that administrator, within that administrator’s permissions, and the administrator is responsible for what they authorize it to do.

AI assistants can make mistakes. Check anything important before relying on it, and check changes an assistant proposes before approving them. Information sent to an assistant is handled by its provider under that provider’s own terms.

An administrator can end a connection at any time from Settings.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use Congrava for anything unlawful, or to harass, deceive or harm people;
• try to access another organization’s information or to get around permission limits;
• probe, overload or interfere with the service, or attempt to break its security;
• share account credentials or connection links with people who should not have them.

6. Availability

We work to keep Congrava available and your information safe, but we cannot promise it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may need to pause the service for maintenance or security. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose; administrators can export their records.

7. Ending your use

A church may stop using Congrava at any time and ask for its records. We may suspend access that breaks these terms or puts the service or other churches at risk, and we will tell the church when we do.

8. Ownership

Congrava, its design and its software belong to us. Your church’s information belongs to your church. Using the service does not transfer ownership of either.

9. Limits of our responsibility

Congrava is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss caused by the choices of a church’s administrators or by the output of an AI assistant. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute about these terms or the service will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Harris County, Texas, and you agree to their jurisdiction.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date above and tell the churches that use Congrava. Continuing to use the service afterwards means you accept the new terms.
